Archival inkjet prints produced as magnets
Individual magnets, 42 x 24"
Artist Talk, Conversation with Sara Daleiden, recorded for USC Student Resource Archive

The American refrigerator with its spectacular, pedestrian menageries was photographed. The images were produced as oversized magnets and also an editioned magnet book (5 x 3"). The refrigerators were found in the homes of people from different backgrounds, a suburban family, gallerist, neighbor, IT tech, chiropractor, etc. The project was a study of populist aesthetics as well as a sincere, if off-key, homage tp the work of Bernd and Hilla Becher.
